FAQs
Who started the Fullerton Coyotes Club?
Our main founder Dylan Ardaya created this club along with his friends Ethan Yan and Fernando Muñoz. Dylan, Ethan and Fernando are all students in the Fullerton Joint Union High District, and are all members of their respective schools’ track and cross-country teams. Additionally, they all have a strong passion for running that carries over into the strength of the Fullerton Coyotes Club.
Is this club a certified non-profit organization?
No, our club is not a certified non-profit at this point. However, we are in the process of applying for a 501(3)(c) so we will eventually become a non-profit organization. To learn more about our club’s non-profit policies, please visit our donation page.
Are meetings always at the same time and place?
No, because our meetups can vary due to severe weather or special events. Although our meetings are generally at Laguna Lake’s Parking Lot on Sundays at 6 P.M., we may meet at Craig Park or at a running/health related shop once in a while. Updates on meeting location and schedule will be posted on our Instagram and Strava club pages, so if you are unsure about meeting details, please check those pages out!
What experience do the members of the board have?
All of the members of our board have experience in high school track, meaning that we have insight into proper running strategies and training regiments. While we will not enforce our training intensity on anyone that attends the club, we will use this experience to better guide our club members as they progress along their journey towards a healthy lifestyle.
Can I join even if I can’t run?
Of course! Our club is simply dedicated to helping people improve their health, regardless of their skill level. If you can’t run at all or you have to take a break halfway through the run, we will either have a board member or a small group of people walk with you so that you can keep moving. Any exercise is better than none!
